Location Scouting

I visited various benches around the Hyde Park area to see if there were any potentially ideal locations to shoot the bench scene/s in our film.

The bench we want to use in the film has to have a particular emotion surrounding it; that looks like a place where someone would, for example: sit and reflect upon life, a loved one or someone they miss.

Firstly, I looked at two benches in Burley Park.

The main problems with these were their surroundings. The busy road next to it constantly had loud cars passing by with lots of people. And for our film we felt that the location needs to be quite isolated where the protagonist can sit and reflect without being distracted by their surroundings.

Afterwards, I walked up to a sort of lookout point over Hyde Park.

Here there are two small benches looking over the vast view. This location could potentially be perfect, as it seems like somewhere where a person would go to reflect on things or just sit to relax and take in their surroundings. There were barely any passers by nor traffic.
Aswell, alot of the nature around it such as bushes, plants & trees has wilted due to the time of year; but this is ideal for our film as it emphasises the bleakness surrounding the protagonist's emotions at this moment.
